Hello Everyone!!!

First of all, thanks for reading this!

I would like to share with you what I feel to be my best photos from over the years. I am currently staying in New York City for my school's New York Term program. It's a program where we attend music, art, theatre, film, and dance performances throughout the 3 months that we stay here. The second part of the program is for us to take part in an internship while we're here. I am currently looking for an internship in photography, so I thought it would be a good idea to show off my best photos here in one place so potential employers can get a feel for my work. I've been a digital photographer for 10 years now, and a film photographer for 5 years. I have worked with cityscapes, landscapes, flowers, nature, birds and animals, and with industrial photography. I have experience with the darkroom, developing black and white film, making black and white prints, dodging, burning, and using contrast filters. I also have experience working with a medium format 4x5 view camera. Hopefully the work I present here will give you a good idea of what I am capable of. I hope you will all enjoy taking a look at my works! Thanks for stopping by!!! xD

Hello my loyal peeps! (That is if anyone actually reads this! :) )

Last fall I was in Photo II and I took a whole bunch of 35mm black and white photos as well as a bunch of photos with a 4x5 view camera. I developed all my own film and printed all my own photos, which I am quite proud of. I just haven't had time to get all my negatives and prints scanned until now. A great big thank you to the two public libraries here in town for the use of their high quality scanners. I just wanted to share all my work with everyone in case anyone is interested in developing their own film and photos and wants to see what kind of quality work you can create with traditional photography. Work in the darkroom seems to be a dying art these days. If anyone else still works in the darkroom to develop their film and prints, please tell me all about it! I would love to hear what kind of processes you use. I have experience with dodging and burning photos, as well as using filters to increase contrast. I haven't had the chance to try toning photos with sepia or the like yet, but I would like to be able to do so some time.

I'd love to hear any comments on my black and white work. You can see all my new work in the following folders :

Hello watchers and random passers by!

I was just wondering, how do you spend your time on DA these days? And how active are you? Do you submit a lot of deviations, favorite them, or simply lurk? I wonder because DA seems so dead lately. I've had one visitor in the last several weeks and it's been that way for a while. I just wonder what all of you want and or get out of DA? Are you satisfied with DA? Personally, I've been getting less and less out of DA anymore. Do you guys hang out in the forums or chatrooms or something else? I just wonder where all the action is. One of the main reasons I joined DA is for community interaction, but there has been very little of that lately, and I'm just bored and or lonely and or tired of not being noticed. So let me know what you guys are thinking about, and what you personally get out of DA these days. It just doesn't seem worth it to me anymore. Is DA the wrong venue for me? Are there other sites out there where my photography can get more exposure? If so, what are they? I just don't know if I want to keep putting effort into something that will never pan out for me. So let me know what you think. Thanks.

If you took the time to read this, please take the time to comment as well. Thank you all for your time.

Is anybody out there? I haven't had any comments or faves or visitors in a while... It's lonely in here!

Let me know there are people out there! Comment please!

Really though, I've been rather disappointed with DA lately. I joined DA to share my stuff but nobobdy looks at it, and I joined to get feedback, but no one ever leaves any.

Anybody else having an awful dry spell?

Here's a couple poems from an English poet I wanted to feature that my favorite poet Anne Bronte admired, William Cowper (Coo-per) :

A Comparison. Addressed To A Young Lady

Sweet stream that winds through yonder glade,
Apt emblem of a virtuous maid
Silent and chaste she steals along,
Far from the world's gay busy throng:
With gentle yet prevailing force,
Intent upon her destined course;
Graceful and useful all she does,
Blessing and blest where'er she goes;
Pure-bosom'd as that watery glass,
And Heaven reflected in her face.

William Cowper

The Heart Healed and Changed by Mercy

by William Cowper

Sin enslav'd me many years,
     And led me bound and blind;
Till at length a thousand fears
     Came swarming o'er my mind.
Where, I said in deep distress,
Will these sinful pleasures end?
How shall I secure my peace,
And make the LORD my friend?

Friends and ministers said much
     The gospel to enforce;
But my blindness still was such,
     I chose a legal course:
Much I fasted, watch'd and strove,
Scarce would show my face abroad,
Fear'd, almost, to speak or move,
A stranger still to GOD.

Thus afraid to trust his grace,
     Long time did I rebel;
Till, despairing of my case,
     Down at his feet I fell:
Then my stubborn heart he broke,
And subdu'd me to his sway;
By a simple word he spoke,
"Thy sins are done away."

and here's a quick feature of someone I discovered today, her name is Rapunxel Please everyone take a look at her gallery ;)
